General Idea:
The Extravaganza is a yearly demo night where we have students performing science demos to the public. Following the demos, we have Juggler Rhys Thomas do a science-related juggling show. For students, it is a chance to do the demos you have seen, or find new demos to do, and it is an extra credit lab.
The Virtual Extravaganza: (Thursday, June 4th)
We can't do the Extravaganza in person this year, but this doesn't mean we can't have a virtual online Extravaganza. I have already gotten the go ahead to have juggler Rhys Thomas make really cool videos for us, we just need videos of student demos. Here's what you can do:
Find a demo you like that you could build using the interwebs. I have linked some cool sites below with some pretty approachable material for doing at home during a pandemic.
Email me about the demo. I don't want 12 videos that are all the same - and I may have ideas about how to proceed
Build your demo once you have the go ahead from me
Make a home video. You can add graphics, or it can be simple. In your video, do your demonstration, and explain the science behind it. I am thinking these will be 5-10 minutes long.
Upload the video to your drive and send me a link to it. I will upload it to YouTube and put together our Virtual Extravaganza Page
If you produce a video for the Extravaganza, it would be worth 40 Extra Credit points for Labs.
Our Online Extravaganza will be Thursday, June 4th, so I will need all content by June 2nd
