DL-Thermodynamics

Demo - The Little Engine that Could (explode) - I fill the tank half full, seal it up, and I get a couple of cotton balls and roll them out so they fit on the fuel tray.  I soak them it 99% isopropyl alcohol, and light them.  The whistle will tell you when you are up to pressure.  I also like to put other fuel in after the alcohol burns down.  When the kids had paper planners, I would borrow one, and rip out the useless pages in the front and burn those.  This lives in the back equipment cabinets with the other heat and pressure demos.

Lab- Newton's Law of Cooling.  The website lays it out pretty well, it also has pictures of the setup.  A beaker of boiling water comes to equilibrium with ice water.  This is overly complicated.  I would just use a thermometer in a piece of metal maybe?
