I attached three administrative orders (two revised and one new), which will become effective July 1 2018.
DNR Incentive Awards (DNR-106)
The new employee incentive award admin order standardizes incentive award practices across DNR and streamlines the process. The order does the following:
Requires each division to have an annual incentive award plan, which is approved by the DNR HR Director
Proposes best practices award categories and award types
Clarifies the taxability of awards
The new order is part of our Lean efforts to eliminate paper and approvals and reduce errors. The order was developed in consultation with the DNR division directors and operations team and Lynne Steketee presented the draft order to all staff by webinar on May 2. Thank you for your feedback on this order.
DNR Official Functions (DNR-100) and Sponsorships and Memberships (DNR-101)
We made a few minor changes to DNR 100 and DNR 101. I attached both the redline and final versions of these orders. The changes are as follows:
Removed the requirement to provide coding in the requests (this will be removed from the Google form). Coding is still required for CORE entry. Please code all food expenses to either Object Code 3118 or 4180.
Broadened the list of attendees to division sponsored events to include both employees and non-employees whose participation materially or directly benefits the division.
Please let me know if you have questions or comments on these orders. Also, as noted last month, we are working on several new and revised administrative orders and will likely be releasing them to all staff early next fiscal year (FY 2018-19).
