4/5/2024  Thank you to all who attended any of our virtual Payroll Office Hours.  We will be transitioning to more focused team trainings.  If you need Payroll training for your team please fill out this quick Google Form and we will contact you and arrange a training session.  

1/30/2024  Due to an error in processing, a correction is needed to the original batch of State of Colorado employees’ W-2s.  The new Family & Medical Leave Insurance Program (FAMLI) was excluded from the originally printed W-2s.  Because the inclusion of FAMLI is required starting in tax year 2023, State employees’ W-2s are being reprinted to include the employee’s contribution to FAMLI in Box 14.  Updated ESS copies of W-2s have began to be posted as well.  If you do not yet see your copy on the site, please check back.  Remember that you must be signed into the State network (VPN if off site) to access ESS.  

Incorrect W-2s have already been mailed to most employees.  For those employees, they will receive two sets of W-2s.  If you receive two W-2s, you should use the W-2 that has the FAMLI contribution during 2023 in Box 14.  If neither W-2 has FAMLI listed, you can use either form.  If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to DPA's Central Payroll unit at  state_centralpayroll@state.co.us.
