arrives in Ottawa March 18-19, 2014
The icon of “Our Lady of Częstochowa” (“The Black
Madonna”) has been credited with numerous miracles
and healings – both of a spiritual and physical nature.
Now, after traveling 40,000 miles from Vladivostok in
Russia through 24 countries in Europe, she is in North
America and will be visiting Ottawa on her global
pilgrimage in the defence of life and family. Please join us
as we welcome her and ask for her protection as the icon
visits the following locations:

St. Patrick Basilica
281 Nepean Street ( corner of Kent and Nepean )
6:30 pm - 7:00 pm - Rosary and Confessions
7 pm – 9pm – Mass at St. Patrick’s Basilica with Archbishop Terrence Prendergast
to be concelebrated with Father Peter West, Custodian of the Icon
9 pm – 5 am – Overnight Vigil at St. Patrick’s Basilica
( including rosary, Divine Mercy Chaplet, and other prayers honoring Our Lady and St. Joseph )
March 19th, 2014

Centennial Flame on Parliament Hill for the Conclusion of the annual St. Joseph Novena,
which takes place from March 10 -18, every morning 6:15 am
( thanksgiving on March 19th )
afterwards we will process to Bank Street across from #65
for a Prayer Vigil

International pro-life campign—car procession from Vladivostok to Fatima with Czestochowa icon of our Lady
On January 28, 2012 Archbishop Stanislas Nova, Metropolitan of Czestochowa presided over a ceremony in the Chapel of the Miracuous Image of Our Lady of Czestochowa of Jasna Gora during which the protection of the Civilization of Life and Love in the World was entrusted into the loving hands of the most Blesed Virgin Mary. The ceremony included touching a copy of the Chestochowa icon to the original and blessing the copy. This copy is dedicated to the protecting of human life and will be carried in pilgrimage from ocean to ocean: from Vladivostok Russia , passing through Asia and Europe and ending in Fatima. Leaders of pro life movements of seventeen countries, Austria, Czech Republic, Spain Kazackstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Portugal, Russia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Ukraine, Hungary, Italy Great Britain and USA participated in this event
