40 Days for Life Fall 2020
The 40 Days for Life organizing committee has met and discerned that we should participate in this Fall’s 40 Days for Life campaign of prayer and fasting from September 23 to November 1, 2020. God has put the survival of the tiny unborn on our hearts and we cannot abandon them.
We will again hold a prayer vigil on the southwest corner of Queen and Bank Streets, daily during the campaign from 7 am to 7 pm.
Churches are slowly reopening their doors, but so far church halls remain closed. Therefore, we cannot store our supplies at St. Patrick’s Basilica. If you wish to have your own sign please contact our church coordinator, Helena by email at helena.szakowski@rogers.com Signs can be purchased for $10 or borrowed and returned.
As we lead up to the campaign, a series of Masses have been arranged, to pray for the permanent closure of the Bank Street abortion facility and the conversion of all its workers.
· Every Friday in September and October (9 Fridays) at 9:00 am at Madonna Della Risurrezione Parish, 1621 Fisher Ave., Ottawa ON K2C 1X8. Masses are in English.
· St. Mary’s Parish, 100 Young Street, Ottawa, ON K1Y 3P7
- Monday, Sept. 14 at 7:30 pm
- Tuesday, Sept. 15 to Sunday, Sept. 20 (inclusive) at 9:00 am
- Church is not available on Monday, Sept. 21
- Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 9:00 am
· Additional Sunday Masses are offered for our intention at St. Mary’s, 100 Young St.
For Sunday Masses only, registration is required in advance by phone 613-728-9811 or by email office@stmarysottawa.ca by the preceding Wednesday at noon.
