Clothed with Power Conference - April 29, 2023 - Blessed Sacrament Parish

Pat and Barbara and I had been anticipating this event for the last six weeks and unfortunately Pat came down with a rather nasty cold so she wasn't able to attend

Barb and I both took the bus and let me tell you it was quite an adventure for me because even though I am a frequent rider I was;t  prepared for the recent changes to the system and ended up taking the o train as well as three different buses to get to the Conference.  My final bus the number seven that I boarded at the Rideau Centre was also Barb's end-of-the-line bus as well.  Even though she came from Barhaven and I from the East End, we met up on the final bus going down Bank Street. We couldn't have planned that if we tried so it was kind of neat

We arrived at Blessed Sacrament Church at approximately 8:30 am, and registration was in the basement hall, ( We were joyfully welcomed by the Sister Servants of the Cross and  The Sisters of the Queenship of Mary

After that, Eucharistic Adoration and then Mass was at 9:30 . Father Tim Nelligan was the main Celebrant. Father Nelligan gave a really inspiring homily. I wish I had taken notes but I forgot to although I do have some from Bishop McCaig's first talk and Dr. Ralph Martin's as well which I will make elaborate on later.

For some reason ( and this isn't like me) I forgot to take pictures. What the heck??? Although I did manage to take a quick photo of Dr. Martin after his second talk as he was leaving.  I will post later but that's it

( more to come )
