40 Days for Life Fall 2020 Final Week

40 Days for Life has been continuing, in spite of the setbacks due to COVID-19. And God’s faithful people continue to come out and pray.

Thank you to those who have come out to pray or who have committed time on the prayer calendar. God hears our prayers and only when we leave this life for the next, will we come to know the little lives that were spared from abortion because of our prayers.

This is the final week. Keep up the good work and do not get discouraged. Our 40-day quest is nearing an end and we can’t give up. For the first part of this week there are no groups or churches who have stepped forward for a vigil day. So, if you can, make one last effort.

On Sunday (November 1) we are planning to bring the 40 Days for Life campaign to a close. The churches are closed so we can’t have the traditional gathering and reception. Plans are to hold a candlelight procession from the vigil site to the human rights monument. There are provincial restrictions limiting the number of people who can gather, so we may have to form two or three groups, distancing ourselves from each other, and staying 6 feet apart. The committee is still working things out and I will let you know the details by the end of the week. We might do a closing rally and Zoom call rally as we did at the start of the campaign. Stay tuned for further details.

Stay mindful of the precious souls that we hold so close in prayer.

“See that you do not despise one of these little ones; for I tell you that in heaven their angels always behold the face of my Father who is in heaven” Matthew 18:10
