The first step to get started with your all-new Lexmark printer is the basic hardware setup. It starts with unwrapping all the packing materials from the printer and cartridges. Carry on with the following setup steps:
Adjust the guides and place the paper neatly into the front tray.
Plug the power cable into the wall outlet.
Press the power button to turn on the printer.
Now, you are ready to connect the Lexmark printer to your PC.
Go to your Lexmark printer's digital control panel, and select the preferred language from the home screen. After that:
Tap on "Next."
Touch the "Set up Now" option to set up an admin user account for your printer.
Assign an admin username and password for the account.
Once the credentials are confirmed, tap on "Next."
If you don't want to create an admin user account, tap on the "Set up Later" option.
Next, select your country or region from the list, and tap on Next.
Choose from "Device Usage and Performance Information" or "None," then tap on Next.
Tap on "Set up Now" to connect the printer to WiFi.
Select your WiFi network from the list.
Enter the WiFi password, then tap OK.
Wait for it to connect, then tap OK. You can now start printing from your Lexmark printer.
If you are using a Windows 10/11 computer and want to connect it to your Lexmark printer, apply the WiFi Direct method:
On your printer's control panel, tap Settings > Network/Ports, and enable WiFi Direct.
On your PC, search for and open Printers & scanners. Click Add a printer or scanner.
Click Show WiFi Direct printers, and then select the WiFi Direct name.
From the prinprinter'splay screen, note the eight-digit PIN and enter it on the computer.
