• First of all, go to the printer control panel and click the settings icon.

• Then, access the Devices Settings and choose the LAN Settings option.

• Select the Wi-Fi and then tap on Wi-Fi Setup. 

• Further, you need to choose the Manual Connect option, and it will start searching for wireless routers in the area.

• Go to your Wi-Fi network name and select it from the given list.

• Enter the correct password password, tap OK, and wait for the connection to complete.

• When the successful connection is established, click OK and press the Home button. 

• Next, go to your computer and browse the official Canon setup page. 

• Choose Set Up, search for the product name, and select OK.

• Click on the first option, "Connecting to Computer, Smartphone, or Tablet, then choose Setup."

• Next, select the Download option/button and wait for the process to complete.

• Access the downloaded file to get started.

• Choose click Start Setup, and it will start searching for the suitable driver and software; the process can take several minutes. 

• Specify the region in which you reside and then click on the Next option.

• Now, click on the Yes option to agree to the License Agreement page.

• Next, you are required to select "Agree" or "Do not agree" on the Extended Survey Program.

• If you see the Firewall Settings screen, check the "Deactivate the Block" box and click Next.

• Then, it will start checking the printer's status.

• When the Check the Connection Method screen shows up, click Yes, and it will start downloading the drivers.

• If the Test Print screen appears, select Start if you want to perform a test print. (You can skip this part if you wish to.)

• When the printer is connected to the computer, you will get a Setup Complete screen.

• Choose the Set as Default Printer box, then click Next.

• Click the right software you want to install from the list and click Next.

• The process of downloading the software will start; this process can take several minutes.

• When you are on the "You can print from a smartphone or tablet" display, select Next. 

• Once prompted to register the printer, click Register or Skip and follow the instructions on-screen.

• When you see the Installation Completed Successfully screen, select Exit.
