The Brother printer in your office is going offline every other day. What could be the reason? There may be some technical issues or the printer settings may be incorrect. The printer drivers might have become outdated or corrupted, causing offline errors. If you are facing this trouble on a Windows PC, here are some easy fixes:
Restart the Print Spooler Service
Press the Windows and R keys together to open the Run command box, type services.msc, and click OK.
Scroll down and right-click on “Print Spooler.”
Select the Restart.
Tip: You can even select Stop first, then select Start after some minutes.
Reinstall Printer Drivers
Press the Windows Start button
Click on the Settings icon, then go to Apps > Apps & Features.
Look for your Brother printer driver and select “Uninstall.”
Open your web browser and visit the official Brother website (support.brother.com).
Select your Windows version and click on the “OK” option.
Click Full Driver & Software Package.
Select Agree to the EULA and Download.
Open the downloaded file from your Downloads folder.
Follow the on-screen prompts to do the installation.
If the Brother printer is showing an offline status on your Mac device, you must try these fixes:
Reset Printing System
Click the Apple menu, open System Settings, and then select Printers & Scanners.
Right-click on the space in the list of printers on the left.
Select the “Reset Printing System” option to confirm the system reset.
Remove and Re-add the Printer
On your Mac, click the Apple icon at the top left.
Select “System Preferences” from the menu.
Click on “Printers & Scanners” from the sidebar, select your printer, and click the (-) button to remove it.
Click the (+) button to add the printer again.
See that the printer starts working again and the offline issue is resolved.
