There are situations where your Brother printer won’t connect to WiFi. It may be because of a weak network, wrong WiFi settings, or outdated software or printer firmware. Here are some simple fixes to resolve the issue:
Connect Printer Using Wireless Setup Wizard
Plug the printer’s power cord into a wall outlet.
Press Menu on the printer’s control panel,
Use the arrow buttons to select Network, then press OK.
Select Setup Wizard, then press OK.
When prompted “WLAN Enable?”, select Yes to turn on wireless.
A list of available networks will show up.
Select your WiFi network (SSID) and press OK.
Enter the network password (WiFi key) if required, then press OK.
Select Yes to confirm the settings.
Wait for the message “Connected” on the screen.
Reset Network Settings on Brother Printer
Press the Settings button, and then select All Settings.
Select Network, and then click Network Reset.
Click "Yes" when your printer displays “Reset Network?”
Press Yes for two seconds when it displays “Reboot OK?” and the printer will restart.
Use WPS Push Button
First, make sure that your WiFi router or access point has a WPS symbol or button.
Press the WPS button on the router.
Within 2 minutes, press and hold the WiFi (Wireless) button on your printer for about 5 seconds.
The WiFi indicator on your printer will blink green.
Once connected, the WiFi indicators will flash solid green.
