Your Epson ET-4800 printer no longer prints in color. This has created a significant obstacle in your printing tasks. What’s stopping it from printing in color? This can happen for several reasons, such as a clogged printhead or empty ink cartridges.
Sometimes, minor software glitches can occur, disrupting the printer’s operation. If you want your Epson ET-4800 to work like it did earlier, you can try cleaning the printhead. To do this, you must follow these instructions:
Go to your printer’s display and ensure you’re on the home screen.
In the printer’s rear paper feeder, insert letter-sized paper.
Scroll and select maintenance. After that, press the OK button.
Under Maintenance, select Nozzle Check and press OK.
If you have loaded the plain paper, press the start button.
Get the print and check if the ink flow is not breaking.
If the lines are breaking, you must do a printhead cleaning.
Go to your printer display and select Yes if there are missing segments.
On the Clean print head screen, select “Yes” and press OK.
Press OK to start the print head cleaning and connect the missing dots.
Ensure you’ve more papers in the rear feeder and press the Start button.
Wait for at least three minutes for the print head cleaning process to complete.
Review the print head cleaning results to check if the ink flow is smooth and uninterrupted. If all segments appear complete, choose No.
