Canon Printer in Error State

It is not new to get your Canon printer in an error state, and it can happen at any time. Solution 1: Reconnect the Printer

  . First, you need to take out the power cable from the printer while your Canon printer is still on. 

  . After that, you should disconnect any other cables if connected to the printer. 

  . And then press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds. (Note- The printer should be directly connected to the wall socket and not to a surge protector.)

  . Reattach the power cable to the printer, and the printer will power ON by itself. (If the printer does not power ON, then you need to power it on manually.)

Solution 2: Restart the Service and Printer

  . First of all, you have to select the ‘Show hidden icon’ option.

  . After that, click on the Printers icon.

  . In addition, right-click on the document and select Cancel.

  . In the open prompt, select Yes to confirm the cancellation. 

  . Furthermore, from the taskbar, click on the Start menu option. 

  . Then, you need to access the Services window. 

  . Now, from the open window, scroll down and then select the print spooler option. 

  . Right-click on the print spooler option. 

  . From the open list of options, select Properties. 

  . Choose the Startup Type option in the Print Spooler Properties window.

  . Go to the Startup Type drop-down, then choose the Automatic option. 

  . Then, you need to click on the Apply button. 

  . Furthermore, select the OK button. 

  . Next, you need to right-click on the Print Spooler once again. 

  . Then choose the Restart option.
