When you insert a new cartridge in your Epson printer or use a third-party ink cartridge, it may show a problem in recognizing the cartridges. In addition, you can encounter the problem even if the cartridge is installed properly in your device. To resolve this issue, use the bypass procedure for the ink cartridge. There are various methods to do that. Here, you will learn about the top two methods that usually help people to complete the bypass.
Solution 1: Resetting the Printer
Make sure that the "Ink Cartridge Not Recognized" error message displays on your printer or computer.
Next, press the Continue or OK button for 5 seconds on your printer's control panel. (Note- Keep holding the Continue or OK button if the error message does not disappear.)
Now, check if the bypass process is complete.
Solution 2: Reinstall the Ink Cartridge
See the error message on your printer or computer to see which ink cartridge(s) are not recognized.
Then, you need to open the document cover.
Push the Stop button for 10 seconds and wait for the ink holder to come into the replacement position.
Now, carefully take out the unrecognized ink cartridge(s).
After that, insert the ink cartridge(s) back.
Press or click the "Continue" or "OK" button on your printer or computer screen to accept the error and continue printing.
In addition, you should run a printer test page to ensure the cartridges work properly.
Now, check if your printer is working perfectly in performing its tasks.
