Connecting a Brother printer to WiFi is a task of a few minutes. These are the ideal methods to get this done right:
Control Panel Setup Wizard
Press the Menu button.
Navigate to Network using the arrow buttons, and press OK.
Select WLAN, press OK.
Choose Setup Wizard, press OK.
When the “Enable WLAN?” message appears, press the up arrow button or Yes.
The printer will scan and show a list of nearby networks. Select your WiFi network name and press OK.
Double-check that the network name is correct, select Yes, and press OK.
If successful, you’ll see a “Connected” message, and the WiFi indicator light on the front panel will remain solid. The printer may also print a wireless confirmation page.
WPS Push-Button
On the control panel, select Menu > Network > WLAN > WPS option.
Select Start or Push Button, press OK.
Press and hold the WPS button on your router for 2 to 3 seconds until the WPS light blinks.
The printer will connect to the router. Once the WiFi indicator light on the printer turns solid, it means the connection is successful.
WPS PIN Method
On the printer, select Menu > Network > WLAN > WPS w/ PIN Code.
The printer will display an 8-digit PIN code. Write down this PIN.
Open your router’s admin page (usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1) and sign in.
Go to the WPS settings section and enter the PIN.
Select Submit/Apply. The printer should connect within just 1 minute, but the exact time can vary.
