just a few minutes and to use uncommon language okay what do I mean by that well an uncommon topic might be something like a student that I worked with once like wrote about cupcakes how many colleges have you read about put cupcakes another student I worked with wrote about the scrapbook of her life thats like an uncommon topic a lot of students dont write about scrapbooking what are some common connections or when you say something about the thing that youre writing about that we didnt expect you to say so lets say you are writing about basketball if youre saying hardwork discipline and perseverance Im asleep already but if instead youre talking about how basketball has maybe helped you lets say become a more empathetic person well that might be kind of obvious because like well on the other team loses then you know Ive actually you know I feel like I feel for them thats kind of a common connection but an uncommon connection in terms of empathy might be like I never understood why my mom or when my grandma was so into knitting until I played basketball okay theres an uncommon connection because my grandmother when she knits thats like her zen-like she goes like she just
