Arizona, Alabama, SC, OH, CO, MT, KY, Arkansas, Sacramento, Las Vegas, Massachusetts, bad college essays trained rigorously over the summer thats kind of a bad use of an F word but fundraised thats enough another strong verb organized why am I talking about verbs because I really feel like theyre the key to great bullet points on your bbs and thats gonna lead to a better personal insight question so check this out but um heres my app list of activities list verbs I think this is the first time that Ive liked talked about this on one of these webinars but basically I was like man itd be useful if students had just a big list of stuff so they can remember what they did because it could be theyre reading through this yeah you play basketball when you look at this youre like oh yeah I totally did arrange certain events or I did earn such in such a wart just by looking at the verbs so this list is gonna help you like remember what you did next question though and a lot of students dont think about this question like what problems did you solve could be personal issues team or family problems school problems local community national and global ask yourself what problems that I solved third question what lessons that I learned or what skills did you gain and Ive got something called the values exercise that can help you brainstorm that or maybe most importantly whats the impact that you had how do we know that the stuff you did actually affect the people change peoples lives or you can also ask what impact did it have on me thats more for the lessons learned and skills bad college essays I games are and then how did you apply what you learn so in other words how did I take this lesson that I learned from basketball and apply it in this other area like could have either like doing those two days for football or whatever taught you discipline that you were able to apply in the classroom and then hey your grades improved as a result so thats a great example that can kind of pop it out as I like to say from the activity that youre talking about and show how youre able to apply that alright so the reason Im putting four of these on here on this dock is that I literally think you should do this four times for each of your personal side questions in fact Id say do it five times do it for what you think might be your five topics and see which four work out the best all right scrolling down told you is gonna be a crash course here is an example B Bs and the P IQs that it led to so Im just gonna let you like scam this for a minute you can come back to this doc certainly but you know this student what he did in middle school in ninth grade he used Lego and arkhyz to build robots they did all kinds of stuff then he was a look at his president manage lab timing supervising top amateurs won many awards good problems I saw proof in did the club from closing down thats gonna be something thats gonna be useful just put into his personal inside question who reason Im having you do this it may feel like busywork at first its not I promise this if you do good work if you bad college essaysspend 15 20 minutes doing this its gonna yield a ton of content Id say the biggest thing that I see like like disappointment then you know when I look at a person once I question its not quite there because theres just not enough content yet lets take a look at a great example that was written based on this exercise this is where the leadership prompt prompt one as president of the Robotics Club by the way I was president the Robotics Club and I find building the robots in creatively solving technical problems to be the easy tasks notice hes sort of fast-forwarding past yeah yeah solving technical problems which is what most people gonna write their personal inside questions on hes like yeah thats easy whats difficult then brings more meaning to my work is steering the club itself hook alright a minute after three years of battling the geeky male stereotype our club was like oh but I evolved our small club of five techies into a thriving interdisciplinary hub of 80 distinct personalities impact started with five now we at the top with 80 because of our club lacks of professional instructor problem I not bad college essays
