The New Trend of Teenage Bands is Taking Over the Internet!

With the constant rise of artists and multiple teens aspiring to be just like their favorite music artists while making experimental music in their parents’ garages, there is an influx of quite creative and frankly humorous band names. Uniquely, a pop girl group of three sixteen-year-olds named the Juicy Jaguars has floored the teens of today with their unique upbeat lyrics about lemonade, apple juice, and a multitude of other types of beverages. These girls are so popular that they have been featured on Beyonce’s new album and have managed to chart above Taylor Swift! They were first discovered by an Instagram post published by one of the members of the group. Ever since then multiple unreleased songs and albums have attracted various listeners.
There has also been a rise in the popularity of two boy groups in the indie genre. The Wonkees, The Wiggles, and The Ticklers have garnered a multitude of attention despite their subjectively tasteless and bland lyrics and beats. It seems each of their songs is about depressing lives as teenage boys, how they will never find their true loves, and how much they relate to the struggle of girls despite their actions contradicting their lyrics. Though no celebrities have picked up any of these boys, The Ticklers often cover songs sung by The Smiths while The Wonkees and the Wiggles tend to stick to Radiohead and Weezer. Interestingly, a quartet known as the Penny Picklers has invaded the discovery pages for almost all users. Their unique and original style of delivery, lively lyrics of life and growth, and their choices of instruments also draw attention to their group.
Ranging from the smooth tune of a saxophone to the soft tapping of sticks on drums mixes a sort of old-timey nature to a modern yet gentle pace of modern-day rock music. The last genre in this article is rap. The Curvaceous Creepers is a new rap group that is not to be judged by its cover. These two boys and their lead girl sing about the importance of not littering, and recycling, and in general, they bring attention to climate change and the environmental crisis on their official Soundcloud account. Despite the various jokes made about this generation of music, it is incredible to see these youth planting their feet firmly into their music, and even if they are not destined for fame, they are having fun trying to achieve it. I hope to continue to see these young artists grow into their music and just how they will evolve into the new music scene.
