Last Friday, August 16th, was the annual Icebreaker Ralley! University Preparatory High School (UPHS) has once more pulled off a successful rally to kick off the beginning of the school year. The rally was held in the Moro Gym on the COS Campus and within the gym, students were met with applause by the leadership team and banners showing them exactly where to go! The rally was filled with cheers for classmates, music, games, our very own mascot, and fantastic dancing from the UPHS dance team organized by Mrs. Block!
Addyson Osborn, a junior, has been on the Leadership team at UPHS for three years now! Osborne is one of the organizers of the basketball game played during the rally, and she said, “I thought it was really fun! I feel like a lot of the classes had school spirit.” Osborne says it was a surprise to see freshmen participating, especially in the first rally of the semester! Though Osborne did not participate in the games, her favorite game was the “Summo Panda” game in which one person tries to push the other out of bounds using a yoga ball held near their stomach. Overall, the rally was filled with fun and was once again, panda-tastic!
