On Friday, September 20, 2024, University Preparatory High School (UPHS) held the ‘Senior Lunch.’ It was the same day as the Academic Assembly, but that’s a different article. Its duration lasted from 12:20 PM to the end of the school day. To start the event, seniors picked their seats right outside the UPHS office. Then, they had a few minutes to change into their new class shirts chosen by the grade. This year, the vote difference between the two final shirts was 53% to 47%!  Our seniors walked onto the grass outside the UPHS office and selected their seats. With matching shirts, the group was brought to the bunker to take a class picture. 

After the photo, all the seniors went into Yokut 7 to get food. The room contained delicacies such as sandwiches, salad, mixed fruit, and chips. For desserts, the senior parents were kind enough to bring cakes, cookies, cupcakes, and various drinks, like sodas and water.  With that, they sat and ate. Alexis Salazar and Camila Espinoza also took videos of seniors with their baby photos, to show how far they have come. Pictures were also taken by Journalism’s photography branch to cherish the memory and to put it into the yearbook. If I remember correctly, a ten-man pyramid was attempted, and almost successful. Almost.
