Safety First

A top priority for any construction project is the ability to maintain a safe and risk-free environment for all parties involved. GMAK Construction LTD. believes the safety of its workers on site is paramount and therefore will apply and reinforce a safety orientation for all individuals that will step foot into the construction area. All individuals on site will be familiarized with all potential fall hazards and will be required to wear PPE, Personal Protective Equipment, such as hard hats, steel toed shoes, and safety vests to help hinder any safety violations. Completing projects with zero safety accidents is the ideal scenario and is something GMAK Construction LTD. strives for. We will implement this by performing periodic audits to constantly evaluate the health hazards on site. Also implanting strategies like reporting near misses, hire safety minded consultants, and emphasize safety as a daily reminder. We feel like these strategies will help with significantly reducing risk to anyone on site and ultimately creating a zero-accident environment.

Impacts

With any construction project, specifically the magnitude of this, one can expect minor inconveniences to follow that are inevitable to sidestep. Our team has developed a plan to minimize and offset the school activities as efficiently as possible. Our teams’ goal was to keep the school functioning, albeit any other day, and still keep a productive work environment. We will be successful in this aspect due to our work packages tackling one area at a time (which will keep traffic a flow and not cause any congestion). We expect noise to be at more than average decibel sound but plan to do most of the bulk work during day hours where we expect most neighboring residents be at work. Additionally, air quality of the surrounding site might not be ideal. Considering it’s a rough grading this is to be expected. Measures will be taken such as placing fine mesh screening across the site to avoid dust being spread in the schoolyard. Also by using fine water sprays that will be used to dampen the construction site.

In conclusion we expect there to be minor inconveniences that are inevitable however our team has planned to mitigate these effects as much as possible.
