As a local base company, A$AP is devoted to participate and get more involved for bonding our community. A$AP will require the work site to be strategically placed so that it does not intersect with pedestrian walkway and residential traffic as much as possible. A$AP will ensure proper fencing and signage for traffic rerouting. Adequate training and signage to be placed to ensure safety of all personals and visitors on site. Visitors will be required to sign in and sign out of a log book and have proper PPE.
2. Company safety culture
All company employees are to be provided with required safety training as a part of orientation. A$AP's goal is to maintain a safe and healthy environment by correcting situations that caused or could likely cause injury. When an incident occurs, it is important to report the occurrence so actions such as an investigation can be taken to make sure that a similar or more serious incident does not happen again.
3. Local site investigation
Before any work is completed on site, an initial site safety evaluation is required to establish safe working conditions and to eliminate any potential safety hazards. All utility lines like drainage, power, gas lines and electrical lines are to be marked as a part of initial site hazard assessment. Site access to be marked with proper signage and kept clean of any garbage at all times. All surrounding areas within the excavators swing are to be kept clear and clean for better safety of all personnel on site.
4. Safety training and meeting
Daily toolbox meetings are to take place every day before any work is to begin. Toolbox meetings are to discuss necessary risks and hazards that could potentially arise on that day. Additionally, employees in charge of operating heavy equipment( ex. excavators and haul trucks) are required to complete a daily equipment inspection form before the shift and after. Trucks or machinery will not to be operated at any time if it deemed unsafe by the daily equipment inspection. The daily equipment inspection forms from the previous days shift are to be handed in at the next mornings daily toolbox talk to allow any equipment to be removed from service for repair and to verify all equipment is in working order. Airborne contaminants are a potential hazard to the crew. All crew are required to be mask fit tested to ensure their better safety.
