The equipment productivity that govern each earth hauling path above was calculated by determining whether using a dozer or a dump truck would provide a better productivity for hauling earth material. This equipment productivity was then compared with the productivity of the excavator to determine which equipment would govern the job.
The unit cost for each job is shown above for each crew type.
The sequencing of each job is listed above including the haul volume in bank cubic meters and loose cubic meters. The crew productivity and the duration of each job is also given.
The project is expected to start on September 2nd, 2019 and completed by November 14, 2019. The project schedule can be found in the attached link provided above as a MS Project file.
A dozer is a crawler equipped with a blade used to push earth. It will be used on this project to spread the earth that was being hauled and to grade the surface to the correct elevation. The dozer has a capacity of 16.5 cubic meters and a average speed of 24 km/h. The dozer would require a dozer operator to operate it.
Dump truck is used to haul earth material to the required fill area from the cut area on site. The dump truck has a carrying capacity of 16.5 cubic meter and an average speed of 24 km/h. The dump truck will require a truck operator to operate it.
Packer is used to to compact the earth to the correct compaction rate. The packer will need to HOW MANY TIMES DID WE DECIDE IT'S GONNA GO OVER?? Packer will require a packer operator.
The excavator consist of a boom, dipper, bucket, and a cab. It is used to loosen material and to load the haul truck with earth material for hauling. The excavator has a capacity of 0.52 cubic meter. The excavator will require an excavator operator to operate it and a helper to with the loading of material.
