WHY STUDY THIS SUBJECT?
Hospitality encompasses a wide range of different activities. Your Broad General Education in Hospitality will allow you to develop skills and techniques that will improve your practical cooking, and gain knowledge and understanding of the variety of cookery processes and ingredients available.
DESCRIPTION OF COURSE IN S3:
The course will build on prior knowledge and experience to target level four Outcomes and Experiences. You will be cooking a range of different recipes which will test your application of knowledge and understanding and practical cookery skills.
ASSESSMENT APPROACHES:
Teachers will gather evidence of progress as part of day-to-day learning. Specific practical assessment tasks will also be set to assess progress at key points of learning. Your child will complete a mixture of individual and group work including theory and practical tasks.
