Lesson 1: Return Your Library Book Memes
Have students create a fun, school appropriate meme using canva that encourages students to return library books. These can then be printed out and hung around the school to help get library books back before the end of the school year! Don't forget to have the give photo credits!
Lesson 2: Interland Game Promoter
Watch Digital Citizenship/Things Explained to review Digital Citizenship. Create a list as a class of the Digital Citizenship topics reviewed in video. Students will then choose two of the Interland Games to review and promote. Today they will focus on 'playing' the game and then reviewing, looking for the digital citizenship topic it practices and the grade level it should be shown to. Students can use Interland Game Reviewer sheet to record their thoughts.
Interland Reviewer and Promoter (make a copy and modify as needed)
Lesson 3: Interland Game Promoter Continued
Students should finish reviewing their Interland games from last week and then start on the 'promotion' piece. Brainstorm as a class ideas on how to promote the game and the topic it teachers. Options for students could be a digital poster (or physical poster) at the end of the reviewer sheet above that includes images and text that introduces the game, explains what can be learned. Students could opt to create their own commercial by recording themselves (or even themselves playing the game and talking about it) with screencastify. As students finish up they can share their final product.
Lesson 4: Don't Fall for the Phish!
