Lesson 1: Cinco De Mayo
Have students go to Pebble Go, under social studies go to Cinco De Mayo (reminding students that Cinco de Mayo is not Mexican Independence Day). To celebrate, students will make maracas using leftover, plastic Easter eggs, small beans or macaroni, plastic spoons and duct tape. In lieu of stickers, students can use Sharpie markers to decorate their maraca.
Lesson 2: Mothers Day
Read The Night Before Mothers Day by Natasha Wing. Students will be making a mothers day card, which can be given to their primary caretaker. Use this printable flower card. You can find the instructions on this website.
