Lesson 1-3: Hour of Code
Students will work on a coding module to learn to code their own Flappy Bird Game. Watch the video as a class and model the first few levels for them. If needed, have students work through the unplugged activity Move It, Move It in order to understand coding. Here is the lesson plan.
Lesson 4: Holidays around the World- stories/research to explore differences
Students watch Christmas Around the World: The Superbook Show. Make sure to stop the video at 7:36, at when the Superbook logo comes back on.
Read Snowmen at Christmas by Caralyn Buehner
Students make a virtual snowman on ABCYa.
If time permits, students may continue to work on code.org Flappy Bird course on code.org or they may create their online paper snow flake.
