Students fill out the "5 Finger Rule" exit ticket, when they finish they can check out books. Allow students extra time to choose "Good Fit" books. This is also a great opportunity to invite the classroom teacher to join the class during check out to support students in finding "Good Fit" books.
Lesson 5: Goldilocks Stem Challenge
Remind Students of Goldilocks and the Three Libearians. Today they are going to create a bed just for Goldilocks to have at the Bear's house. Have students think about how they would design a bed out of various materials for goldilocks- using a cardboard tube and an index card. Students can work together to build a bed for Goldilocks. You can also print out Goldilocks to 'test' their beds.
