Sustained Investigation #13

Artist Statement:

For this project, I wanted to focus on taking a well-composed, high-quality image of an animal in Florida while on a family trip there. While there, I took photos of a few different animals, including anoles, pelicans, and various types of other birds. In the end, I decided on the final photo because I felt it was the highest quality photo with the best composition.  '

For this project, I only used a personal photograph I took while in Florida. Otherwise, the only other thing I did was edit it on my phone's editing app.

I started by taking many different photos of birds at the specific pier I was at, most of those birds being pelicans, as was what I saw most of. I took photos from various angles, and of different pelicans, some bundled up on posts, some that were the young pelicans, as well as some flying. The one featured above was taken from many angles until I finally got the best angle with the best quality. Then, I used my phone's editing app to create the cleanest image possible.
