Midterm Circle Project

Artist Statement:

For this project, we were supposed to take a previously printed set of 4x5 circles and create something based on it. I chose to include in my circles random things, but mostly things that came to me at the moment or that I liked. None of them really had any sort of connection with the others.

I used a combination of graphite pencils, colored pencils, and different pens to complete this. It was done on watercolor paper.

To start, I had to develop my ideas. Once I did this, I sketched them out with pencils. Then, went in with a pen to give them a sharper look and cleaner feel. Finally, I added colored pencils to the drawing to give them more life, distinction, and color.
