Hello Tam Your fighting on the 22nd of November at FFC4 can you tell us a little about your self ?( team , record, style etc)
I train out the D'Unit DNFT in Dumbarton, my record is 1-0.
Maybe more known in the Scottish and European MMA circuit for your MMA events and fighter management under the ON TOP banner , how does it feel to be back in the cage ?
Good to be in fight prep again, really looking forward to getting in the cage and having a scrap.
You currently train with the D Unit up in Dumbarton, known for excellent coaching and a strong fight team, can you talk a little about training with such an elite bunch of guys?
Training at the unit is 2nd to non, the place is really busy with fighters wanting to get active, I can see 2014 being a great year for the Unit, the coaches at the unit are top class. Training with pro guys like John Nic, Allan Jonhston, John Cullen, John Quinn Gaz Ward & a bunch of others can only make you better.
I have seen a few of the D Unit exercise videos (circuits etc), in one your working hard and look fresh through out, is cardio a big part of your game ?
I tend to do a lot of cardio weekly, if a don't a would just balloon up, ha.
A change of opponent (1 month before the fight) from kev Grant to James Pattie, How has you fight camp went and will there be any changes (strategies, training etc) due to the new opponent?
Nothing really has changed, James is more experienced than Kev but I was expecting a tough fight any way.
A major player in Scotlands MMA scene, what's your thoughts on where its going and what the future holds ? ( in the light of Ray, Calderwood, Whiteford and others doing great things on the international scene)
With Rab Whiteford getting his chance at the UFC it could open up the doors for more Scottish fighters getting there chance, well done to Rab anyway he done him self proud, look forward to seeing him in the octagon again this time with a full fight camp.
How can new folk get into MMA at the D Unit, is there any advice for them ?
D Unit offers all sorts of classes for beginners and experienced guys, there's nothing worst than talking to someone who wants to get in to MMA but says that'll need to get fit first, ha, only one way to get fit, finger out and get to your nearest club, no excuses.
There is always a lot of buzz and requests from the community on our Website / FB etc asking for info about ON TOP, will we see the premier PRO event return sometime in 2014?
On Top is returning on the 1st March 2014, the card is in the proses of getting filled and it's going to be a cracker.
Finally and last words, sponsors, twitter etc
Thanks to all my training partners at the DNFT for preparing me for this fight, I'll do all a can to get the W.
Cheers Robb
