A legendary career spanning 16 years and over 100 fights which included a massive 89 wins with 61 by submission.
A submission victory over UFC Hall of Famer and former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell.
A Head Kick Knockout of UFC Hall of Famer and former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Forrest Griffin.
Not one, not two but THREE victories over Chael Sonnen (even Anderson Silva only managed two!).
Has gone the distance with the legendary Big Nog. Has gone the distance with UFC Hall of Famers Dan Severn and Randy Couture. Has gone the distance with Anderson Silva, the greatest MMA fighter of all time.
I think we can all agree that that is quite the resume. An incredible list of achievements. Astonishingly, I was not just asked to write down what someone would have to do to be considered an MMA legend. One man has actually done all of these things, and a ton more.
That man is Jeremy Horn.
Having seen everything he has achieved in his career, I can only imagine how cool it would be to train with him. But it’s just a pipe dream. Guys with MMA careers like that don’t come over to Scotland to teach, people have to fly to America or Brazil to train with guys like that.
Except, this weekend they don’t.
This weekend, Jeremy Horn will be teaching a two day seminar at the Dundee Mixed Martials Youth and Community Sports Association (DMMAYACSA).
DMMAYACSA, as well as well as being home to one of Scotland’s top up and coming MMA teams Shooters Dundee, is a registered charity (no: SC039621). The directors of the charity Billy Beckers, Paul Hughes and Derek Anderson along with committee members Grant Cruickshank, Euan Sloane, Craig Robertson, Liam Hunter, Andrew Marley, Marc Cosgrove and Patrick Mckinnon all donate their time free of charge to the non profit charity, which does great work in the community.
They are also doing great work for Scottish MMA, by building a relationship with Jeremy (this will be his third visit to Dundee in three years).
This is an unbelievable opportunity to train with a true legend of Mixed Martial Arts, without travelling thousands of miles.
For more info on the Seminar, which takes place THIS WEEKEND, visit the event page here https://www.facebook.com/events/549414058462944/?ref_dashboard_filter=upcoming
Don’t miss out on this once a year chance. Put it this way, if you wait for a more decorated MMA legend to come to Scotland to teach, you might be waiting a while….
