It’s hard to believe that On Top Promotions held their first show at Glasgow’s Celtic Park only 1 year ago. In 12 months the ambitious team behind the show, voted as the countries top promotion in 2011 by the fans, have staged three events, visited three venues and crowned three worthy champions In David Arranda (bantamweight) Nikolas Musoke (welterweight) and Mamour Fall (lightweight). 2011 couldn’t have been much better . However, anyone who thinks on top may be complacent about the future or take their foot off the gas in 2012 clearly haven’t checked out their latest card. The promotion returns to the scene of On Top 3, Glasgow’s Kelvin Hall, on Saturday 25th February.

On Top have a habit of breaking new ground; they brought you Scotland’s first all pro card and were the first promoters to run a show at the prestigious Kelvin Hall. They continue this pioneering spirit in 2012 as Joanne Calderwood will face Noellie Molina in Scotland’s first female pro mma bout. Frenchman Mamour Fall will make his first defence of the lightweight title he earned in his tournament win at on Top 3 against the undefeated Martin Delaney. This is the first time an On Top title has been defended and it’s certain the Scottish crowd will be behind Delaney as he looks to bring the belt back to Scotland. An other notable fight to keep your eyes on is in the Flyweight division with Delaney’s Dinky Ninja teammate Brian Hyslop facing the experienced dangerous Mark Platts .

Add to this Stevie Ray, Sergej Greccicho, Olivier Pastor, Alan Johnston and the MMA debut of famed Scottish boxer, and former commonwealth champion in the sweet science, Craig Docherty, there’s plenty for fans to get excited about and if On Top continue in this manner it won’t be long before the show is recognised as one of Europe’s top events.
