Healthy Lifestyles Clinic

Background, Contacts, Location: Welcome to Healthy Lifestyles Clinic!

Lead: Kimberly Reynolds - guion@ohsu.edu

Location: Cornell West 1500 NW Bethany Blvd, Suite 195

Beaverton, Oregon, 97006.

Clinic is at the Cornell West location (just google search OHSU Cornell West or Doernbecher Cornell West). Parking is ample, the entrance is at the first floor, NW corner of the building. The EPIC department to find the schedule is PED HLTHY CW – and you’ll look under Angela-Tu Nguyen’s schedule. You will be working with our whole team: MD, psych, PT, RD. We usually like to give you all exposure to the whole team- so you will follow one new patient through their entire morning.

Experience: Residents will follow a child/youth and their family through an assessment and listen to the team’s recommendations at the end of the session. During the second session, residents will lead a child/youth assessment. This experience, along with the readings and medical student presentation preparation, will provide the resident with the skills for assessment, diagnosis, evaluation and prevention of childhood overweight and obesity.

I encourage you to come with a goal in mind of what you want to take away from your visit. Are there Gen Peds ready recs you want to take away for management of overweight/obesity? Are you wanting to focus on the nuances of how a team works together in this setting (role definitions, and overlap)? Specific nutrition, activity, medical, psych questions? Etc…
