Background, Contacts, Location: Multnomah County provides low-cost family health care at seven locations. Pharmacy, dental and WIC services are also available at some locations. While this is a primarily clinical experience, it should serve as an opportunity to think about how different health care systems as well as the role of public health in relation to primary care. Care provided includes preventive care and urgent care to a diverse and often underserved population. You should consider the following aspects of healthcare during this experience: access to healthcare, diversity, health disparities, cultural hum, and working with limited resources.

Experience: You will see patients with Seth Williams and see how services are provided in a county public health clinic. You will become familiar with community resources available to uninsured families. You are urged to consider the impact and implications of statewide and national healthcare reform for this population of patients.
