Chapter Nine Comments
-This chapter explains Sektor's absence during the events of Ano Sentaku Bou.
-I had regretted killing off Bryan Fury not long after his death chapter in ASB. When trying to figure out a way to bring him back, I also was wondering who would be his tag team partner, but it was something I would drop if nothing came to me. Then I realized the one clan who would potentially bring him back was the Tekunin... thus making way for Sektor's return to the series after being absent since the end of Chishio No Me.
-Bryan's rebuilding process took 9 months... that timeline was done on purpose as a way to represent his 'rebirth.'
-This chapter also explains Balrog's absence throughout the series up until this point.
-Balrog's favorite drink is Bourbon, and that's given a nod here.
-Balrog's scene was cut short due to the length of this chapter.
-This chapter explains where Reiko and Skarlet were during the Universal War despite having served Shao Kahn during the event.
-Having Kunimitsu be resurrected to serve under Quan Chi was one of the first 'newcomer' ideas I've had since I started planning this story.
-This chapter shows three sets of the villain couples and the status of their relationship since the year had passed. Rain and Tanya's, specifically, is very loosely based on Tanya's MKX ending.
-The start of Ganryu's story is based on his Tekken 6 bio. And I admit, I blame writing this scene on my craving for chankonabe at one point. Also, his crush on Julia is written in a way to fit with this series.
-Rolento's introduction was based on his Ultra Street Fighter IV prologue, but with some added and changed dialogue to fit with the series.
-Lei, Christie, and Chun Li's introduction was loosely based on the Street Fighter x Tekken OVA
-Lei is known to be a big fan of movies as well as being based on Jackie Chan... so of course, I made him a Jackie Chan fan whose favorite movie is Jui Kuen or Drunken Master.
-The mention of Juri injuring Chun Li a few years ago was based on the events of the Street Fightre IV OVA based on Juri.
