Biography

Sagat's assistance during the Universal War had somewhat gained the respect of those who once looked up to him before his fall from grace years ago. While he helped with rebuilding and recovery, Sagat was offered a book deal, an autobiography talking about his life with his rise, fall, and rise again being the main theme. Sagat declined the deal, however, as he felt that there was still two things in his life that he needed to do... discover the true meaning of the fight, and his long-awaited rematch with Ryu.

When the Shikoken Tournament was announced during Earth's latest war, Sagat decided to compete once the new Protector of Earthrealm, Liu Kang, approached him, asking to help fight against the latest threat. Aside of wanting to reach his personal goals, he had a feeling that the events that began with the Blood Tournament was not quite over yet.
