Biography

Scorpion's assistance in the fight against the Outworld Forces during the Universal War contributed to the resurrection of his wife and son as well as his clan, the Shirai Ryu. The clan, for now, remained in isolation due to one factor; Quan Chi. The necromancer responsible for their murder years ago was still at large. Although he was promised to be summoned if his family and clan were ever in danger, Scorpion couldn't help but wonder if Quan Chi knew of the clan's resurrection and was currently biding his time.

For a year, Scorpion waited in the Netherrealm. Then one day, Scorpion was summoned to Earth by Fujin. The clan were not in immediate danger... however, their isolated village was close to a facility owned by the Mishima Zaibatsu, who instigated the current war. The war was a threat to the stability of the realms, and Fujin hoped that Scorpion would join the chosen ones to fight. Although he preferred to walk alone, if joining with the chosen ones meant protecting his family and clan, then so be it.
