Biography

For a couple of months after the Universal War, life was peaceful for Ryu, and he was looking forward to traveling the world with Julia and Ken. However, their plans were put on hold when Julia discovered that her reforestation data was stolen by the Mishima Zaibatsu during the war. At the same time, SIN was after Ryu for reasons he wasn't sure of, most likely due to his reputation as one of the strongest fighters in the world and, perhaps, being one of The Four. These events forced him to separate from Julia temporarily. Soon, the situation with SIN ended, Julia retrieved her data, and the couple reunited in Arizona. They were just making plans for their world tour when the Mishima Zaibatsu declared war.

Even before Liu Kang approached, Ryu decided to attend the Shikoken Tournament. Not only would he continue to become a better fighter, but he would also reunite with the allies he met throughout the last two years. It was a shame that the next big threat involved a friend and another one of The Four; Jin Kazama.
