Biography

More than twenty years ago, Kunimitsu was a member of the Manji Clan. Her skills and abilities helped her rise to higher ranks, soon earning the privilege to work alongside the clan's leader, Yoshimitsu. Although the clan were filled with thieves, their work was done with purpose; to help the underprivileged... so when Kunimitsu stole the clan's funds for her own purpose, she was expelled. Later, under her grandfather's wishes, she attempted to steal Yoshimitsu's ancient sword. Her attempts resulted in a duel between them, a duel which ended her life...

After the Universal War, the necromancer Quan Chi, after taking over the Outworld throne, decided to resurrect skillful warriors for the eventual take-over of the realms. Due to both her skills and her past with the Manji Clan, Kunimitsu was brought back to life by magic. Quan Chi offered her to personally take out Yoshimitsu in exchange for working alongside him. Kunimitsu eagerly accepted the proposal.
