Biography

Born in a village of spiritual warriors with an ancient past, Zafina possessed similar abilities of those amongst her people. By day, she was an astrologist, guiding those who seek her advice. By night, she is one of a handful of guardians of the Temple of Azazel. Having once taken down a foreign army on her own, she is the primary protector of the temple as appointed by the village's guru. For the past year since the end of the Universal War, Zafina had been seeing nothing but bad omens, which grow more and more intense each day. Worse was the fact that, a couple of times a month, an unknown group, led by someone she called, 'the pale demon,' were hanging close to the temple for unknown reasons. The activities grew worse when the Mishima Zaibatsu declared war on the world. Then, the pale demon and his minions made contact, though Zafina was able to keep them away from the temple... for now.

Between this and her premonitions, Zafina sought out the advice of her guru, who shared with her an ancient prophecy passed down to only a few selected people. According to the prophecy, when two evil stars come into conflict, it will break the seal containing Azazel, or as the foreigners called it, the legend of Majin Seiryu Ki. If Azazel came out, the realms as they know it will end. A new premonition after learning all of this convinced her to travel to a temple in China, where she can seek the assistance of the Protector of Earthrealm, Liu Kang, and potentially help to stop the prophecy from coming true. The next day, Zafina began her journey...
