Chapter Thirteen Comments
-This chapter, excluding Ivy and Scorpion, has every previous chosen one and some of their new allies featured, and everyone in the scene has at least one line (or moment if they don't really speak). And as hinted, there will be more new chosen ones added throughout the story.
-The word Qīn'ài is Mandarin for 'dear,' obviously appropriate coming from Yang, said to his girlfriend Maki.
-This chapter officially announces not only the tournament rules and how many rounds there will be, but also the fact that tournament is tag team-based with each match taking place in various locations around the world.
-The scene after the official tournament rules are stated was added on the fly. The main reason for the scene is to acknowledge the incoming Outworld Rebellion who have joined the side of the Mishima Zaibatsu in their war. Their arrival is considered 'off-camera' as writing a welcome scene for them would just be a repeat of the welcome scene with G-Corp and the Outworld Forces. The scene also goes on to explain Jin's side as to why he agreed to let the rebellion join his cause.
-The mentioned Gargoyle's Perch is an actual stage from Tekken 6. It serves as Jin's 'throne room.'
-Some portions of the tense conversation between Jin and Eddy was a nod to their conversation during Tekken 6's Scenario Campaign Mode. Nina's quote, 'Care to explain?' was also a nod to the same scene.
