Biography

The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 was announced not long after the end of the Universal War. Baek and his student Hwoarang attended. However, Baek eventually withdrew when Hwoarang was severely injured in his fight with Devil Jin. Baek blamed himself, feeling that he was an inadequate instructor. Hwoarang awake three days later. They discuss the fight as well as their experience in the war since they hardly had the chance to talk about it since returning to Earth. Sensing his student's maturity, desire to learn, and his unprecedent modesty, Baek decided to teach him everything he knew.

Later, Baek decides to accompany Hwoarang when he is asked by Liu Kang to join the chosen ones in the Shikoken Tournament. Baek also decides to make this his final tournament attendance as a competitor.
