Chapter Sixteen Comments
-Although planning took months, typing the final draft of this chapter only took a week.
-A lot of what's shown during the matches in this chapter is pretty must the gist of what will be seen in future fights.
-The visual for the former Tekunin base stage was inspired by the Special Forces stage in Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe.
-Matrik's unit name is revealed for the first time in this story; TK-6M1. TK is for Tekunin as she was created not long after Sektor found the clan. The rest of her unit name is actually a hint to her origin as a human.
-Zatax's wrist gun was inspired by Vash the Stampede from Trigun.
-Smoke, after grabbing onto to electric rods, says about them, “It's not three electrics spears from the chest, but it'll due.” This is a nod to his spear maneuver from the Mortal Kombat games while also hinting that these mechanics no longer exist in his system after being fixed up.
-The Rosa Flamengo stage is actual Fireworks Over Barcelona from Tekken 6.
-Satine's name comes from the main character of the movie Moulin Rouge! Some aspects of the character designs from the film was added to her and Zamboni. Satine's French origin was inspired from this as well.
-The stage Tira and Juri fight on is the Urban War Zone stage from Tekken 6.
-Dusti and Justi were somewhat inspired by wrestlers Goldust and Stardust.
-The spider-web pattern created on the windshield after Juri kicks her opponent into it represents her spider-theme.
-The Grand Canyon stage was picked at random in this case compared to the other stages in this chapter.
