Chapter Fourteen Comments
-Originally, this chapter and Chapter 15 were meant to be all in one. However, due to length, the chapter was split into two. This is the first part.
-A majority of the tag teams are announced in this chapter.
-Initially, I did have Liu Kang actually be a competitor of the tournament as well as Kazuya. This was when I had the brothers, Taven and Daegon, in the initial main cast before some changes had them bow out of this fic. Liu Kang and Kazuya not participating in the tournament is explained in this chapter, and the only other characters from the main cast list not in the tournament are Quan Chi, Sheeva, Motaro, and to an extent, Jin.
-The entirety of the quotes involving Kenshi and Alex Walker not tag teaming is mainly for those who I'm pretty sure were expecting these two to tag team in the tournament. Never once have I had the intention to tag team them for realistic reasons (basically, everything Alex said in the scene).
-The tag team of Sagat and Feng Wei was inadvertently suggested by a reviewer for Ano Sentaku Bou during their sparring scene in that story.
-Tek-ken Steakhouse is, of course, a Tekken reference. =P
-Initially, I was going to have those appearing at the steakhouse in different restaurants, but soon decided it would be easier to just have all of them in one place.
-Alisa was seen with food in Tekken: Blood Vengeance. This chapter simply explains her reasons for eating food to begin with.
-The red jogging suit Ganryu wears is a nod to his appearance in Tekken: Blood Vengeance.
-T. Hawk mentioning how 'entertainment' wrestlers are a 'bunch of clowns' is a nod to the Udon comics.
