Biography

Not long after the Universal War, Hwoarang attended the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 along with his master, Baek. At one point, Hwoarang got his wish to fight Jin, but during the battle, Jin changed into his devil form. The fight left Hwoarang in a coma for three days. Between that and his experience in the Universal War, Hwoarang earned a new perspective. When he and Baek spoke about the events, Baek decided to teach his student everything he knew. They trained vigorously for months afterward.

When the Mishima Zaibatsu announces the Shikoken Tournament, Hwoarang decides to attend with Baek accompanying him. Unknown to Baek, Hwoarang hopes to get far in the tournament in order to defeat 'devil' Jin.
