Sorcha an Flambo
Sorcha is the apprentice of Cliodna inghean hIolair and has been raised at the covenant of Lombaird as a young warrior-maga. She favors the bow over the sword, however, and has chosen to specialize in Perdo magic. Cliodna was only a few years past her Gauntlet when she took Sorcha as an apprentice, and Sorcha's training has suffered as a result, but her interest in the School of Raghallach makes her a very dangerous magical combatant, especially when working with other magi who can exploit the weaknesses she creates.
Sorcha wears her red hair long and unbound; she is unapologetic about her deeds and desires, and is bound to soon offend the sensibilities of her betters.
In summer of 1220, as part of her macgnimartha, Sorcha allied with Sander of Praesis and Nuala of Qui Sonant to raid the covenant at Uisneach. They successfully grabbed the cathach and fled, but were pursued by Iovhar the faerie hunter and a large war party. In the raid, Sorcha was attacked by Samson's pet hawk, Redwing, and her face was badly mauled by the falcon's talons and beak. Sander was eventually captured and the cathach restored, but Sorcha and Nuala got away. Sorcha spent some time in Connacht getting a hedge magician to heal the injuries to her face, but she still has light scarring down her cheek.
She sided with the Hibernian magi against Mournemount and raided their cattle alongside Sander, but unlike him returned to the site when the raid was over, and she was there when the Mournemount magi abandoned Hibernia and Cosrach Cam destroyed their tower. In the time since her apprenticeship she has availed herself of Lambaird's relative wealth and sought to make up for her weakness as a maga by learning more spells.
