A little obsessed with her childhood memories and their preservation, Garcette has made a study of the Art of Memory. It was only after her work had begun that she began to realize the usefulness this Art might have for a future Quaesitor. Alfeva's Art of Memory score is 4 (Crime Scenes), so she has four "rooms" in her Memory Palace plus an additional room which can only be used for crime scenes. Her Palace is entered from the north and is constructed as a traditional Roman villa, with a room on the west representing her childhood, a room on the east reserved for her apprenticeship, a room to the south for her life post-Gauntlet, a room beyond that for for matters of her House and the Order as a whole, and through all of that is a final chamber for crime scenes. Before memorizing these moments, Alfeva uses Creo Mentem magic on herself to ensure they are fresh and perfectly restored. For years her memories of her own childhood were false ones she had created for herself as a way of compensating for her difficult childhood, but now she knows the truth, that her parents were relieved to sell
