There are six player character apprentices, one companion, and a GMPC, for the occasions on which one of the Beta Storyguides is telling the Saga.
Alfeva filia Athena Alpina of Guernicus is Saxon from the shores of Britain, taken from her unloving family and sold to the Order. Angry and isolated, she eventually grew into a passionate young Quaesitor and elementalist.
Cernunnuos filius Kentigern ex Miscellanea is a young man of French descent who can talk to animals. He is heir to a line of Hibernian beast mages. Accompanied by Cassandra, his raven companion, and a pack of hunting hounds, Cernunnos has returned to Hibernia to take up the mantle of his parens.
Innocentius filius Caterina of Tytalus was a morose Greek child whose mother Kallisto, a hedge magician from an ancient Thracian witch tradition, was killed by Hugh of Flambeau, Innocentius's father. Kallisto's ghost followed Innocentius until she was destroyed by his former dominus, Sebastien of Tytalus. Akakios fled to the camp of the Shadow Magi, where he was trained by Caterina of Bonisagus, and recently resurfaced in the Novgorod Tribunal. He has since sworn the Oath and become a full member of the Order.
Myrna filia Kynthia of Merinita is the child of an Irish maiden lured to Arcadia. Sentenced to die by her faerie father, she instead escaped with the help of Iovhar the Huntsman and became a maga with a talent for illusions. When her domina succeeded in traveling to the Moon (or at least a Faerie version of it…), Myrna's apprenticeship was completed by a Nordic warrior-maga named Camille.
Polumeta filia Balbina of Verditius (formerly Eva discipula Balbina) is a slightly-built German woman of Dwarf blood, giving her a natural talent for craftsmanship, metal and stone. Initiated into the mysteries of House Verditius by her parens and allies, she has come to Hibernia with her beloved, Samson of Flambeau. She is accompanied by Gero the Gnome.
Samson filius Hugh of Flambeau is a former squire who was sold to the Order after his Gift manifested suddenly at a tournament. The oldest of the PCs, he is a warrior first and a magus second, and was apprenticed to the legendary Hoplite, Hugh of Flambeau. Following the death of the dragon Nemesis in 1218 and upon completion of his gauntlet in 1219, Rene adopted the name Samson in honor of his Christian faith.
Victor Autolycus filius Diana of Tremere is the grandson of a powerful Tytalus magus from Hibernia. He was groomed for apprenticeship, but when Breandan's father went into an unexpected Twilight, Breandan found himself lost and alone on the continent. He was claimed by Diana of Tremere and used in her political machinations, but is now his own man, trying to balance the demands of his Hibernian grandfather with those of his House.
Iovhar the Huntsman is a Faerie, former master of the hunt for Cassidy's Unseelie father. Having fled his master after it was discovered he spared Cassidy's life, Iomhar is now without purpose or home. Soft hearted and loyal, he continues to serve Cassidy and the helpless and weak wherever he finds them.
Coleman Cahir mac Aland is a bard of Ireland who has not yet met the magi.
The List of the Fallen
We remember you. We remember you.
Tomas discipulus Sabastien was raised in Arcadia and spent some time as an assistant to the Faerie Court there. Lured away by a maga of the Order, Tomas was Sabastien of Tytalus' senior apprentice for four years before being claimed by Archmage Philomena of Bonisagus. He resides at Sinews of Knowledge. He was played in the game's first session, but did not reappear.
